The first Watch in Space was a Russian Watch

The TASS reported: "On 12 April 1961 in the USSR was the first spacecraft 'Sputnik Vostok "with a man on board, the astronaut Major Yuri Gagarin, a citizen of the USSR, sent into orbit ...' For this flight, Yuri Gagarin wore a Watch Sturmanskie model that was produced in the first Moscow Watch Factory. After this flight, the watch factory was renamed to 'POLJOT'.
