When Yuri Gagarin went down in history as the first person in space on April 12, 1961, he had a special watch on his wrist. The timepiece was custom made for this space flight, manufactured by Sturmanskie. The watch got a legendary touch because it worked perfectly in weightlessness. Sturmanskie has been the official watch supplier for former Soviet and now Russian cosmonauts since 1961. Especially dedicated to Juri Gagarin, the Gagarin series is optically and qualitatively based on the original watch from 1961. Each model has to withstand different loads, but should also bring the spirit of the 1960s to life. And that is exactly what this series does justice to.

This extraordinary model has a brushed dial made of 925 sterling silver, which is additionally protected by a transparent lacquer layer. Each watch has an engraved serial number on both the dial and the back cover. A sapphire crystal protects the interior, which also consists of an original mechanical Poljot 2609 movement. In order to make the watch as light and robust as possible, the case is made of titanium. On the back cover you can find anniversary engravings as well as a 3D portrait of Gagarin, which is coated with PVD. For this anniversary edition, the manufacturer has designed a special watch box which, in addition to the watch, contains another leather strap and tools for changing the strap.
